The first steps of your Microsoft Dynamics 365 journey can be daunting.  Here's one key piece of advice:

Put your business before the technology BUT play to the strengths of your technology.

CRM - customer relationship management - means different things to different people.  There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different CRM 'solutions' available - unless you have some idea what you want, there's no way you can create the right one for you and your organisation.  Scoping your project requirements is a vital first step.

Questions you might want to ask include:

  • Why do we want a CRM solution?
  • What problems are we hoping to solve?
  • How will we know our implementation is successful?
  • Who will use the system?  How many people? What departments or job roles?
  • Will all users want the same thing from the solution, or will different people use it differently?
