All about Dashboards in Microsoft Dynamics 365

dashboards beanie md365 left

Dashboards can be the central point from where you drive your business within Microsoft Dynamics 365.  A dashboard can show you your sales pipeline, the customer cases waiting to be resolved, the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns, progress towards key goals, outstanding customer correspondence and much much more.

Some of our clients run their weekly or monthly meetings directly from Dynamics 365 using dashboards.

Effective dashboards and reports enable you to see your results from across the company.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 has a range of dashboards - inbuilt dashboards, personal dashboards, system dashboards and interactive dashboards.  These dashboards can display charts, lists of data, other websites and more

Some users can run most of their day from one or two dashboards, so avoiding much of the navigation of the system.

At the end of this course, you have:

  • An understanding of the data model of Dynamics 365 so you can create the data for your dashboards
  • Capability to create a range of charts for your dashboards - using the best chart for each job
  • Skills to create and manage a range of goals and targets on dashboards
  • An appreciation of different uses of dashboards in sales, support, marketing, system administration and management
  • An understanding of the uses of interactive dashboards

Maximising marketing to drive prospects to your business with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Customer Relationship Management solutions should give you a full view of how your clients interact with you, usually Maximising Marketing in Dynamics 365across your entire organisation, from first contact. This should include the marketing activity that often is responsible for first finding the prospect and also for much of the ongoing nurturing both before the initial sale and during the entire lifecycle of the customer.

Your buyers today are empowered and want to control their own discovery process. Attract top-of-funnel traffic through inbound and outbound email activity. Marketing automation attracts prospects to the top of your funnel and then maintains their interest with additional contact.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 includes some great marketing functionality in the core product, as part of the sales module, including:

  • Marketing lists – static and dynamic lists of target contacts, leads or accounts
  • Quick Campaigns – great for a single communication to a selected group of target contacts or leads
  • Campaigns – a set of communications to a selected group of target contacts or leads
  • Personalised correspondence – using data pulled from your Dynamics 365 database
  • Tracking of all communications – related to marketing and other aspects of the relationship
  • Powerful reporting to show you the effectiveness of your campaigns

Although many organisations want to go further than this, and use another marketing automation solution as well, it is valuable to understand what you already have before investing in further software, and possibly creating data silos.

At the end of this course, you have:

  • The skills to build marketing lists
  • An understanding of directed and non-directed campaigns and quick campaigns
  • The ability to measure the effectiveness of your campaigns

What's new in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE v9

what's new beanie d365 rightMicrosoft Dynamics 365 CE has a high velocity release cycle.  There will be new functionality, and deprecated features, every 6 months.  For those organisations using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Online, the updates will come eventually - like it or not.  Although you can defer an update for a while, sooner or later you will have to deploy it.  This can make it difficult for the people responsible for the Dynamics 365 CE solution to manage it.  If what's new, they need to know which features they should embrace, how they should embrace them, which they must turn off and how they should replace that functionality.  Managing a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation is not for the feint-hearted.  This seminar will help you stay on top.

Since 1st October 2017, all new trials and deployments of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE have been running v9.  Organisations who were using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online before 1st October 2017 will receive notification of their update several weeks before it will be deployed.  For on-prem (and partner hosted) organisations, the opportunity to take advantage of these new features will be available probably by the end of 2018.

There is a lot of information about the new functionality, and deprecated features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE v9 across the internet.  The seminar saves your time by bringing it to you in one short half day.

This half day seminar provides you with an overview of the new features in v9, previously called the July 2017 release, highlights the new business functionality in this release and shows you some alternatives if you are using the deprecated features.

At the end of this seminar, you have:

  • An appreciation of the new functionality in this release of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Knowledge of the features that are being deprecated in this release of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • An understanding of the options to replace the deprecated features

Target Audience for What's new in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE v9

  • People wanting to understand how they can best manage the upgrade of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 v9 - whether you are using Microsoft Dynamics 365 on prem or online.

Subject Matter Expert / Business User Training on Microsoft Dynamics 365

for the people who need to know how Dynamics 365 works, without any configuration or customisation

Business User / Subject matter expert training on Dynamics 365

Subject Matter Expert / Business User training highlights the low hanging fruit.  Because your key business people, your Subject Matter Experts can now easily identify the quick wins, you save money.

When you include Subject Matter Expert Dynamics 365 training as part of the scoping of your Microsoft Dynamics 365 project, you and your team are able to make better decisions about the scope of the project. Subject Matter Expert training covers the standard functionality that Microsoft Dynamics 365 provides. It helps your SMEs - subject matter experts - (the people who really know how your business operates and therefore what your CRM solution should deliver by way of supporting your service of customers and the reports to enable you to run the business better) work with your technical implementers to get the 'best bang for your buck' from the solution design.

By having people who understand your business and the functionality that Microsoft Dynamics 365 delivers, before any changes (customisation or configuration) are done, you can select the functionality that you require for your business processes logically and wisely.  You can choose the low hanging fruit, i love low hanging fruitso you can deliver value to your users far more rapidly.  The investment (both in money and time) made into this training will be repaid many time over by your resulting more effective project.

Ensuring that you have these people who know about the business and the technology means that you can avoid the loss in translation, or the chinese whispers effect that so often derails these projects.

Subject Matter Expert Dynamics 365 training is very different from Microsoft Dynamics 365 end user training.  Subject Matter Expert Dynamics 365 training shows you the potential of the technology before any configuration.  End user Dynamics 365 training shows you the 'how' and the 'why' to use your CRM functionality delivered by Dynamics 365 in your environment, using your data and your processes.
